ABOUT THE FIC FEST…

This Fic Fest is made to celebrate the lyricism and musicality of Seventeen!

It encourages different interpretations of their music and lyrics as well as different ways to express that through written fan work.

This means prompts will be based on and / or take inspiration from any of Seventeen’s songs / lyrics.

GUIDELINES

✧ The Fest runs on GMT-3 timezone.
✧ All participants must be +18 years old as of the day Claiming begins.
✧ All participants must count with an AO3 account by the time Submissions come about.
✧ Everything must be tagged appropriately. Otherwise, it could mean the elimination of the fic from the fest.
✧ All works must be original and can’t be a continuation of a pre-existent work.
✧ All works must be written in English.
✧ The fic must have a minimum of 1.5k words. There is no maximum.
✧ Whether the fic is chaptered or oneshot, if it’s from a CLAIMED PROMPT it must be completed upon submission. Self prompted chaptered fics must submit at least 2 finished chapters by the due date.
✧ Writers will remain anonymous until reveals. Participants must not show any signs that they are their work’s author until then.
✧ Self prompts are allowed.
✧ Polyamorous pairings are allowed.
✧ Crossover pairings with other groups’ members are allowed as long as a member of Seventeen is part of the main pairing.
✧ I ask writers to include the lyrics that inspired the prompt somewhere in the fic. It can be at the beginning, as a way to ease into the story and introduce it, or at the end, as part of the ending. Or you can find a more creative way to include it. This is so the essence of the Fest isn’t forgotten, so I ask that you respect this request!
✧ If you are in need of an extension, please DM the mod to arrange a solution.
✧ If a participant ghosts the mod twice (on both Check-Ins) they will be banned from participating in any possible future rounds.

GUIDELINES

✧ Prompts can be up to 100 words long and can’t ask for a specific word count for the fic. They must also take inspiration from any of Seventeen’s songs / lyrics. DO WANTs and DO NOT WANTs are encouraged.
✧ All prompts must be original / new.
✧ Claiming will work on a first come — first serve basis.
✧ If you wish to drop out at any point, you are free to do so. But please fill out the “Drop Out Form”.
✧ Claims will be done via AO3 and confirmed by submitting the “Writer Claiming Form”.
✧ Each prompt can only be claimed once.
✧ Participants can only claim 2 prompts at a time (including self prompts). Once these prompts are fulfilled, more can be claimed.
✧ Please only claim prompts you can write, taking the time you have to do so in consideration. Also, please respect the prompter’s wishes (DWs and DNWs).
✧ If a prompt gets accidentally claimed twice, it’ll go to whomever filled the Writer Claiming Form first.
✧ Do not use the submitted prompts for works unrelated to the fest.
✧ NOT ALLOWED THEMES / PROMPTS: noncon, dubcon, pedophilia, bestiality, parent / child to lovers, MCD, incest, abusive relationships, a/b/o, gore, dead dove, grooming, reader insert, asking for specific top / bottom dynamics.
